Hello, I am planning on getting my sister the Acer Predator G5-793-79SG laptop. I see that it comes with a 1tb HD. I also heard it has a m.2 slot. Is this true? If so, what kind is it (nvme/sata/gen3)? Secondly, would I be able to use the m.2 and hdd at the same time? Thanks

You can have up to 2 separate M.2 SSDs with the following specs
The M.2 PCIe/NVMe port is located under the M.2 SATA port. You can use both SSD and HDD at the same time, as the HDD is using a regular SATA 3 port.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

You can use a NVMe SSD in your laptop.
Samsung 960 Evo 250GB NVMe [M.2/2280] is also supported by this model.
You can boot from the SSD and use the HDD as storage device.
Please get back to us with more information once you get the device and we’d be happy to help.
