My Predator Helios 500 (PH517-51) screen goes black or shuts down

My Predator Helios 500 (PH517-51) screen sometimes goes black when i am playing a game. this usually happens on the games start up. i can still hear sounds but the screen is off OR it can also just totally shut down, this happens at random points, when im gaming, browsing the web or even if it is just sat doing nothing. Its only 2 weeks old, i have updated all the drivers and cant seem to find a solution

    Maybe try and older driver version to see if it fixes it im sure there are already threads in here about that just do a search you will find something :)

    Turn off g-sync and see if it still does it. Report back.

    Thanks for the advise but neither of these solutions worked. I have checked the forums and I am unable to find a solution. tried resetting the battery, running a memory diagnostic, updating the bios.
    I am in Asia and bought the laptop here. I contacted acer to have the laptop fixed but they said it would take 1-2 months for them to do so. 
    On a different note I will be back in the UK soon, will the laptop (that was purchased in Asia) be under warranty in the UK so I could take it to a service center there?

    U should be able to go to the acer uk support (it's a worldwide warranty as far as i know) to fix it but they might send it to acer asia anyway there's only one option to try and see what they sort out for you :)
