My FPS is locking at 30 FPS when i connect to to my monitor and play Black Ops 4. R6 Siege locks at 60, and for both games if i unplug the HDMI the FPS jumps to 100+ on the laptop Screen. What is causing this?

    Hello @ohwow

Try this, disable vertical sync from you game settings and then try again. It worked for me once.

So this isnt really related to this but a similar problem with the Acer Nitro 5, when you plug in an HDMI & want to run 4K at 60FPS through the HDMI
    1. Know you have to disable the integrated Intel HD 630 Graphics chip.
    2. Know that only 1 screen will display at a time if you want better than either 1080P 60FPS or 4K at 30FPS menaing you have to disable the laptop screen to get the full framerate/resolution.
    3. Know that when it works, its amazing.
I struggled for hours trying to get this to work & finally figured it out.
    If my steps dont work,
    1. Make sure your monitor/tv isnt set to run an HDMI 2.0 port at 1.4.
    2. Make sure you're using an HDMI 2.0 cable.
3.Make sure you have set it all in settings. Possibly you missed something in advanced display settings...
