Up until just a few days ago I was able to edit files on my drive offline. I can no longer access Google drive offline. A "No Internet" message now appears. The Sync Google Docs, Sheets.....etc. is still checked.

    Hi Dickallen,
Please try these steps to check if this fixes the issue.
Delete all of your extensions and disable offline access in Drive settings again. Then restart the  Chromebook. Re-enable the  offline access and re-add the Google Docs Offline extension. After that it should work. Please let me know if this is working.

    Hi dickallen,
Thanks for your response. Can you please go to settings and check if the following are check marked.
    Google Drive

Google Drive can work offline too.

Google Drive and the three online apps within it—Docs, Sheets, and Slides—have an offline mode you can activate when there's no internet available. You'll need to set it up before you lose your web connection: From the main Google Drive interface, click the cog icon on the right, then tick the box next to the Offline heading.

This will sync your recent documents, spreadsheets, and presentations to the local storage on your hard drive. It lets you create new documents and edit existing ones in your Drive account, although you won't be able to access big files like videos and music (unless you download them separately first). Offline Chrome will save all your changes to disk, just as they would normally be saved to the web. Once your browser detects an internet connection again, it will sync everything to bring your files back up to date again.

If this does not work, please try updating the chrome os.

Click on 3 vertical dots on top right corner of chrome browser and go to Help/ About chrome.

Check for available updates and run the updates.

After that try accessing the files in drive offline.

    Hi Dickallen,
Thanks for your response.I did a little bit research and found these links. Please go through them to make sure that you are following each and every step.

If that does not help then
Google Drive has a fantastic troubleshooting resource that covers a number of common issues with the service. There is also a Google Drive help forum where you may be able to find others who have solved the same problem you’re having, or who can help you troubleshoot your current issue. Lastly, you can always contact Google Drive Support as well, you may just have to wait a little while for a personalized response.
