Acer predator helios 300 battery problem

CricsupCricsup Posts: 6Member New User
Hello

I'm currently using helios 300 g3-571. Laptop battery works fine if I boot every morning continuously on battery without powering it. I can see 1% discharge every time I boot it.

But if I leave it to sit on my table for 4-5 days and then try to boot the laptop on 6th day charge goes to 0%. Not booting without powering it. Don't know what the issue is

Help me to find a solution please

    Hi,
I don't see anything wrong with your battery, make sure the laptop is switched off and not put to sleep mode. You could also do a manual calibration to get an accurate battery life estimates.

Yes it works fine if i boot my laptop daily, the percentage of charge is same as previous day. but if i allow to sit it for 3-4 days untouched, the next day it wont boot. i want to use ac adaptor to boot it. 0% charge

i tried battery reset pin, doesn't work. switched of power usb in acer quick access too.

    Hi,
Try this before contacting Acer Service centre in your region and send it for a service, go to BIOS, move to Main tab and click F9 button, then click F10 to save and exit.
If that doesn't help, you have to contact Acer service centre for a service under warranty.

Ok, I give this a try and wait for 3-4 days and see if this works. Will Acer send me replacement battery?. I got still a year under warranty but not on my region (India), bought from US

I don't know how they handle the warranty in your country for a laptop bought in USA, you have to contact Acer Support centre in India to find out.

Months earlier even for chat IN Acer chat support transferred me with US Acer support link after they got my SNID. In India they will charge me for repair since I got no international traveller warranty. On shipping charges to US, I can buy a new battery

    Hi,
Yes, that's right, it's better to buy a new battery and install it yourself as you have no warranty but make sure that the battery is at fault, you could also try checking at a local repair shop as they may have the right equipment to check it for you, if that's possible.
