Do some games draw more power than others causing the battery charge to drain while still plugged in

I bought this predator helios 300 not even a week ago. I played Doom (2016) and The witcher 3 on high/ultra settings without any issues or batter charge drain while plugged in. Yesterday I noticed my battery charge drained from 100% to about 91% while being plugged in to charger. This happened when I was playing a game called "Warframe" and " Black Desert Online". What can be the issue here? Is this the fault of my battery or the charger? I really need some help on what should I do. Can anyone explain me what might be happening and the possible issues?

Battery Settings: Balanced, Sleep while plugged in = Never

No game should deplete the battery while you're plugged in. The only way I could see would be if your power brick isn't providing the power needed to run the system at peak loads or there is some sort of battery saver active that keeps the battery from charging to 100% but I don't know of any app with Acer. The only battery saver apps I've seen was Samsung and Lenovo. It something I'd actually like to see from acer. I'd love to set my battery to 50% when I'm only going to be using it on ac power to extend the battery's lifespan.

Dumb question but they did provide you with a 180 watt AC adapter? I doubt that there could be a mix up but you never know. I guess you don't have a kill-a-watt meter to see how much power you're pulling? I'm at 207 under max load with a 230watt brick on my Pred 700

Does it charge fully when you're not gaming?

This behavior is NORMAL. Some regions (north american) are supplied with a 180 watt power supply and some (asia pacific and such) with 130.
This laptop takes less than 130 for normal day to day works, and less than 180 for most games. But some games are very demanding and push for power usage that is upwards for 180. In this situation it pulls some power from battery too (thought this pull is in bursts since such power is mostly needed in bursts) and this causes battery to drain.
Nothing to panic since this is the intended behavior.

Learn something new everyday I've never seen a manufacturer supply an underrated power supply. It really should be able to maintain the max load for any length of time without touching the battery at least that's what I'd expect when buying a gaming laptop. What if I game for 8-12 hours? I don't want to worry about the battery depleting. Not that I do that much anymore but as a kid we'd go to someone's house and drink and game for the entire weekend

I rarely do anything but game on mine so the whole 130watt normal work day would never apply to my usage. I guess on the plus side the OP could just pick up the proper brick if it bothers him.

Asia Pacific regions... power is very costly compared to North Americas. Pushing in 180 watts becomes non economical. Even when you say gamers, only a small percentage of gamers game on PC on the lines you mentioned. I am a gamer, but between all other activities, my gaming comes to about 20% or so of the time I am on my laptop.

The laptop power supply can supply enough power for most of the needs. This additional power is needed in bursts you could say so the drain is not steady. When I was on Windows 10 and played intensive games full throttle, I used to have a drain of about 3-5% for about 2 hours (I have a 180 watts adapter). Some people said they saw about 5-8% per hour of gaming full throttle. Even at the rate of 8% per hour considering you are playing non stop full throttle you still get atleast 7-8 hours of intensive gaming. But keep in mind, not all screen draws in games need that kind of power, and most of the times power from power supply would suffice. Try it out yourself... you'll be surprised.

Also, people notice this 5% cos laptops generally do not charge battery when it goes down from 100 to about 95%. Below 95% your battery could actually be charging when on low level screens. So you would technically get a long time of game play before it says battery low.
