The laptop temperature is so high at idle after making windows updates to version 1803

ACER Predator Helios 300 PH315-51-78NP

According to Predator Sense provided by ACER
At idle, the temperature of the CPU is 60C and with playing Tom Clancys Rainbow Six Siege it reaches 87C
the GPU monitoring isn't working and it is saying that "Discrete GPU is idle" knowing that it was working before making windows updates.
also i can't notice a big difference in temperature when i put fans on max.. just 4C lower

knowing that the room temperature is 22 C and the laptop is on a flat surface and is put in a table allowing it to have fresh air by 2 inches
i brought my laptop two weeks ago and it was working great before making any updates

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the nvidia driver so that your video card is active again and can monitor temperatures again?

yes i did and it didn't work

Make sure uninstalling and reinstalling predator sense solves the problem! Generally after updating windows it is necessary to uninstall and reinstall some programs so that they work correctly!

You can also restore the notebook to some point before the problem!

Put the computer to sleep or hibernate after a cold start; this many a times triggers Predator Sense to pick up graphics unit. Also disable fast startup option under windows power settings.

I would have to agree with the video drivers and update both Intel and Nvidia drivers and make sure it's switching to the discrete video card.

Also if you look at the gpu and cpu usage and see if either is high with nothing running. Once I did a factory wipe with windows 10 and it completed fine but it pinned the cpu at 100% usage with no app showing any usage. it was very strange and no matter what I did I could not get the usage down until I did a complete reinstall of windows. Not saying the update did this but something may be spiking the cpu or gpu usage that you could see in the task manager.

I kinda have the same problem. I just got this heat problem within this past few weeks. I have a 61C Idle temperature and when I play games like Dota 2 or CSGO, I'm getting about 95C average,

Please disable two services - windows search and superfetch. Also see if there are any more services you can disable, including all store related ones. Windows 10 has a lot of unessential services (from user perspective). 1803 can be optimized to near 0 idle CPU.

i've tried a lot of ways but nothing worked effectively, so how can i do it?

Open task manager... CPU tab... keep system open for a few minutes without doing anything, and share the screenshot please.
If you have Predator Sense, you can use that too.

Changing an apt name to something so stupidly unrelated to its name... in the generation when most of the stuff is on SSDs... how much more stupid can guys at MS get?
