My HP 8720 OfficeJet full-service software won't install on my Acer E5-476G.  Standard Printer function works fine, but full-service scan function (including scan to email) won't install.  HP says it's not their software, it's the Acer laptop that isn't compatible with their All-in-one software package.

Assuming that you used the installation CD that came with the printer, you can try to download the drivers from here & install them yourself.  Go to your Download folder & double click to install. There are 5 videos at the bottom of the webpage, which may be helpful in the driver(s) install.  If there are more than 1 driver, make sure that you know the order of installation; otherwise it may result in failure.  Ask HP support if it's not obvious.
I run Linux Mint on my devices.  My printer is not on the Ubuntu list of supported devices, which means that the printer only works with a wired connection.  Disappointment is an inevitable part of life.

You will have uninstall the driver(s) from the installation CD before you can reinstall them yourself. How-to in Windows 10.

This is your lucky day.  It is not necessary to install the drivers serially.  View the 4th video, entitled " Installing an HP Printer With a Wireless Connection Using Full Feature Drivers".  Follow the instructions meticulously.  No freelancing allowed.

I have a nitro and got windows 10 software that I regularly update, had to use my sister's plug and play HP Tank 500 printer just once. After few weeks due to work requirement I had to update my software, everything did work well aside from the Hewlett Packard USB that shows on optional update. Tried updating it couple of times and restarting afterwards but still showing on my update list. Now my vpn access cant allow me to set till I have this update done for HP. Tried downloading the app from HPs website but upon installation its still an error. Tried plugging the printer and it worked. Is this a common issue between 2 brands? Whats the best thing to do? The update error is still popping.
