E15 Fan and Keyboard Malfunction

I have a very odd issue on my hands, my less than 2 year old E15's fan has started running overtime. It's the loudest I have ever heard it run, but my computer's measured internal temperature is only 35C. And while the fan is running this hard, my I, J, K, M, <, and spacebar keys do not work. There are brief lulls in the fan where the keys work, but the computer's temperature remains the same. I have tried updating my BIOS and uninstalling the keyboard driver. This change occured rapidly; one minute I was writing a paper and the next my fan is speeding up and my keys aren't working. Does anyone know of a possible fix, or at the very least why these problems seem to be linked?

The fan may be off balance (a loose screw holding it in place) or has some sort of issues inside it. I would carefully open the case and have a look at it - also use some compressed air to blow out any dust. Possibly but not likely a wire got out of place and is brushing up against the fan blades. Fans are relatively cheap to fix if the bearing is bad and of course a loose wire is easy to tape back into place.
If it is making that much noise, even though it isn't overheating, it sounds like the fan is going bad and probably going to need to be replaced. You'll need a replacement which aren't hard to do if you can find the part. Better to replace it now, than have it start overheating and damage something. :)
