Hi

I have Predator 17 G9-791 bios 1.11 I'm currently on 1709 for windows 10 Home and I have completely locked down the windows update (found out on how to manual install Gpedit.msc) so basically it'll only update when I say update, so have the issues with that 1803 have being resolved or do they still exist (games not running etc) and avoid updating for the time being till I see otherwise in this forum
Many Thanks for any reply's.

P.S.
Is there any official Discord servers I could join as I'm surprised there aren't any around as it certainly help with response time for owners.

It hasn't been released everywhere yet (not for me either) so it's too soon to say for sure. Better to check in a bit.

Any windows update... DEFER... in bold... in caps... unless you want to be the experimental guinea piglet. Personally, give atleast 15 days for any security updates and 60 days for feature updates.

    Hi Manny

Thanks for the link but I was already aware of that info as I have done my research but forgot to post it here for others, which you have already done so now. So thanks. Still going to wait till the update is safe to download and install and other owners on this forum confirm it is safe to update to, Microsoft really screwed up as usual with this update.

Personally, if you are happy with your OS and set it up to your liking, keep it as it is. Worst case, you can keep it for atleast 18 months. There is no point in updating OS every 6 months for feature updates. Install security as needed though. To top this, MS took out QA pretty much and is using users (under various names like insiders who are opted in testers and home version users who are scapegoats). So gotta be careful when a feature update rolls in, pretty much on the same lines of installing a new OS.
