My laptop won’t come on model A515-51-75RW

Blue led ones on when I Hit the power button, goes off after 8 seconds. Tried taking battery out. Reset battery. Put black tape on interlock switch in case it wasn’t being pressed. This has done nothing.

Anything else?

    Hi Faheem121,
If you have already tried the battery reset, then please check if its going into BIOS. If it does try doing BIOS default.
1)Turn off the computer, by pressing and holding the power button.
2)Keep tapping F2 several time while you press the power button just ones, to enter BIOS.
    3) Ones in BIOS tap F9 one time, Hit Enter.
    4) Press F10 one time, Hit Enter.
Computer should restart properly. Please let me know if this fixes the issue.

    Hi @Faheem121,

Check if the charger is working. when you connect the charger is the light glowing up? do you see a orange light or a blue light when you connect the charger? since you say that the blue light stays for 8sec and goes off. i suspect that the charger is not working. is the charger warm? try to switch to a different wall sockets as well.

    Accept if its Helpful.   B)

Charger works definitely. It was orange now fully blue to indicate it’s fully charged.

Hi, the laptop does not switch on whatsoever. Just the standard blue led that comes on for a few seconds. I’ve tried the f2 thing but the screen doesn’t appear. Just a blue led then turns off. The fan doesn’t turn on. Nothing turns on. Just a blue led for several seconds. Then off. 😖😖😖😖

    Hi Faheem121,
Thanks for your response. Please try this last step to make sure if its a hardware issue.
    1)Remove the charger.
2)Press and hold the power button to make sure that all lights are off.
    3) Now turn around the laptop and have a look at the bottom panel of the laptop.
    4) Look for a tiny pin hole with a battery sign drawn on the side of it. Please get a pin or a thin paper clip. Press and hold it down with a little pressure in the pin hole for 30 seconds.
    5) Then connect the charger and try to turn it on. If it still does not boot up or even show the acer logo, it means there is a hardware issue. You will need to contact acer support for warranty repair options. Please let me know if this helped.

Its an hardware issue. are you under the warranty ? if not you should be taking it to the local tech. May be the motherboard is gone bad.

    Hi Faheem121,
You can definitely check in acer website with your snid number whether the unit is under warranty. Standard warranty for acer computers is 1 year from date of purchase. Just sharing this information in case you know the date of purchase of your computer. Go to following site
    http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/

You can try this Warranty Checker for the U.S.
If under warranty, ask Acer to repair the device.
If off warranty, connect laptop to your television.  If output on TV screen is normal, consider a DIY screen replacement.

Hi, I need help. My laptop suddenly shut down and it won't turn back on. I pressed on the power button a few times and it still doesn't want to turn back on. Only the light on the side of the power button lights up but only for a few secs. I did try to look for a reset button at the back of my laptop but I can't find it. My battery is built in so I can't remove it. My laptop model is acer aspire one 14 Z1402.
  • @ShanasyinHave you already tested with another charger? Tried to update the bios before giving problem?
