Is there any documentation on this? My model has a 20GB SSD built-in: will this be affected?

    >>>Is the 20GB SSD a separate drive or is it just part of the motherboard? It doesn't show in My Computer. Anyway, if I replaced the existing HDD with a SSD are there any directions you know of?>>>

To change the HDD, you must remove the back cover as in the following instructions

The 20GB you refer to is probably removable SD card that inserts in the SD card reader slot on the side. You can get these cards from Walmart in a variety of sizes up to about 64GB. If no SD card is in the laptop SD slot, it won't show up in MyComputer.

Not sure how you do this. The label on the bottom of the laptop is illegible.

You can replace whatever 2.5" SSD is in there now with any HDD or SSD, preferrably 9.5mm but a 7mm would also be fine with a bit of foam. Jack E/NJ

  • If your model is s3-391, you can replace it with a 256gb ssd!

There's no removeable 20GB SD card: the SD card slot is empty. The 20GB disk shows up only in Computer Management

Computer Management probably shows another disk partition on your hard drive. It may or may not also show up in File Manager depending on the partition. Jack E/NJ
