Red-Sand, I changed it in BIOS but with no success. I still cant install predator sense. I am not planning to send my computer to Acer because I need it. Do you think that I am sometimes limited but with no predator sense?
Any idea where I can get the Acer's version of windows 10 that i might install the next time i will format my pc?
Only acer can provide you with the correct setup for you model usually they will only have it available for in their support centers i am not sure if they also provide the installation on cd/dvd/usb format you would have to contact them and ask because once you format the hdd the acer recovery partition is gone

So i just updated my drivers including Predator Sense and it works fine .
    Follow the steps :

Close all processes from predator sense , uninstall it , restart your laptop , download from Acer support  the last version of predator Sense FOR YOUR MODEL and choose the right Operating System that you have on your laptop , Unzip it all  , go in folder 3.01.3000_20180222 , right click on Setup > Run as administrator and install . After this step ,Predator Sense  WILL NOT WORK and you WILL NOT find it in RegEdit cause you have one more step to do until will run properly .

    Last step :

in the same folder 3.01.3000_20180222 , go in folder PredatorSenseV3.1 and run  the following file e917f4dfb84a45c2be385f83479d3c9a (is the only one APPXBUNDLE file Type ) and after this Predator Sense will open the interface and will run properly . Enjoy !

    Hello!
I have the same problem, I tried to create a post here but it vanished x_x

I don't know how to use HxD, can anyone help me please :(?
I basically have the "This computer is not supported" message since the repair team changed my motherboard, and installing the e917f4dfb84a45c2be385f83479d3c9a file works but when launching it, it just shows the predator logo over and over but nothing happens.

@Xhatz the issue here might be the bios does not have the proper model showing up for PS to recognize it so you will have to send it back for them to fix the model issue in the bios as you cannot edit the bios yourself to fix it sometimes its just a case of one letter or number/word but unfortunately it has to be sent back as u can see in the support link that @Acer-Manny posted earlier and using hex editor it's not for the average user but you can give it a try

i don't know where in the bios is the model number stored. is it in the DMI area?
if in DMI area then it is very easy to edit that using inside dmi editor app.

Its inside the bios itself it's built into the bios the same way the windows oem key is when installing PS the app will cross check the model info with the bios itself if it doesn't match the supported list of models (by the letter) it will not install

    @xapim,
yeah i know that. i was just wondering where in the bios , which area in the bios the model nos stored.
if its in the DMI area then the user can use the insyde smbios editor to set the correct model nos.
just for my knowledge i had used the app and in the DMI area it does show the manufacturer, model nos and the serial nos of my system. there you can even modify the data with the app.
but i dont know whether PS uses this data to check during the install process. i dont even know whether this will work.

anyways since it is all copyright stuff i will not post anything about how to get that app. let the user google for it and try it on his own.
    the file name is H2OSDE-W.exe.

Oh sorry I didn't receive the notifications for the replies haha I thought nobody had replied...
Like I said, I would like not to send it back AGAIN just for that haha, especially if I have to wait 3 weeks for it to return :-:
Does anyone know how to use the hex editor to tweak the ID, please? It would be the easiest solution but sadly I have tried but cannot find how to save the file without corrupting it, or if I'm even changing the right value haha. Or if there is any other way, I'd be happy to hear about it ^^

I too had this problem and found a way around it. download the old version of predator sense(in one of the links above) .Use HXD editor and copy the code of the exe file of the old one.Paste this code in the exe file of the new one.Worked like a charm for me
So i just updated my drivers including Predator Sense and it works fine .

Enjoy !

Using these two methods from these two people worked for me! Thanks guys! You guys rock :)

    Hi Pauly12,
I faced the same problem and now I've resolved it. My model is Predator G3-572. But after the motherboard change, its name got changed to "Aspier XXXX".
But the PredatorSense installer expects the BIOS Model to have "Predator" in its name. [Refer here].
So, I thought of bypassing it in different ways:
        1. Change the bios value to correct Predator G3-572. This can be done at acer service only.
        2. Change the registry keys to fool the installer. But this one didn't work at all.

But the possible solution is simplest of all. Why not change the string "Predator" in the PredatorSense binary itself to the one of the substrings of the your model. So now the comparison would be true and it proceeds with installation. I searched for the string Predator in the installer binary and modified it to "Aspier XXXX" and now it got installed! I used hex editor HxD to change the string in the exe binary. If you need any help doing so, feel free to ask.

Although am gonna contact acer service to change the model name to correct one, as this is not the right method. I suggest u do the same.
hi, iam having the exact same problem. Can u tell me what to do?
