we installed a second ssd on our laptop ( see https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/550608/upgrade-aspire-es1-432#latest)
we have a new problem:
Within the setup utility (bios) we changed the boot to allow for F12 boot option. Changing the boot order in boot priority didn’t change the fact that the computer still tried to boot on old drive
We have tried
Disabling the old drive
Formatting the old drive
Removing the recovery partition from the old drive
And still it tries to boot on some recover thing, when clicking on F12 we can still start the computer using the new drive
What we see is a boot option menu
1: window boot Manager (BJNBAR)
2. windows boot manager (CT250…)
1 option is the boot option we want to get rid of, 2 is the new drive, which works fine when selected, but it’s so annoying to have to press the F12 key at startup.
Using Msconfig, or BDCDedit, we only see one identifier for boot so we don’t know how to get rid.
Is there any way to fix this problem ?
