Predator 500 - To remove battery or not?
Hi, I'm an avid gamer, and a family man, this means I can have my PC idling in a game for hours whilst in a game, on most games the PSU isn't delivering enough power to both run and charge
at the same time(or if this is software, I don't know), which means when I dip below 40% power on my battery, I get throttled big time, and my performance is absolutely horrible in games.
Therefore I am contemplating removing the battery from the laptop, however I am not sure about the repercussions of doing this and/or if there are other ways to keep my PC from draining
power while I am running games. What are your experiences with this? I am Semi-tech savvy, and have read a bit on undervolting, but it's not something I've done before and would rather not dabble with unless thoroughly explained how and what to do, if this can fix my power problems I am more than eager to listen, because not having the battery plugged in would mean a hassle when I move my laptop around.
Also sidequestion: If I power my laptop down, and remove the power cord from the PC, my battery will drain insane and often when I turn on my PC after it being shut down and not charging for an hour or two, it can be completely dead or ~5% power. What is this?
Thanks in advance!
