My Acer Aspire R5-571TG updated on its own last night. Didn't think much of it until the computer restarted and I was left with the "No Bootable Device" screen.
At this point I have tried a few things in BIOS including;
- Making sure my hard drive is listed first ( HDD0 then HDD1)
- Changing it to Legacy
I was going to attempt next to factory reset, while I am not fond of losing data I back up fairly regularly so I am hoping that I wont loose to much. However, no matter what I try I can't get it to let me. I have tried
Alt + F10,
F10,
F10 + Alt + Fn, and
F10 + Fn so far no luck. I have tried holding down, tapping, and even a combination. I hear nothing and the screen does not change(Acer logo then the no bootable device screen). I also have Windows 10 and have never installed anything else or changed anything in that aspect.
I am struggling with what to do next, I would love to be able to fix this problem myself so I am not out a laptop for a period of time. However, I also don't want to spend a ton to fix it as I have a warranty on the laptop. Is there something I am missing?
