I lost my usb receiver - where can i find a replacement?  Can I use a universal 1? Any other brand?  Please help!!

Different models certainly use different frequencies, but there is no reason to believe that different pieces of the same model use different frequencies. This is evidenced by the fact that using wireless devices too close to each other causes interference.

However, this is irrelevant. No company sells the receiver separately from the device. The best you can do is try and use the receiver from another device.

But according to the updates, there is a security code with each mouse/receiver. So, you still cannot use it with a different mouse/receiver. So, I would suggest you to buy a new piece altogether. Yet, if you have any doubts, you can always contact the manufacturer of the wireless keyboard and mouse.
