Any way to use the gpu at maximum performance at all times (plugged in or not)?

Hello,

My machine is the Nitro 5 (AN515-53-52FA-US) and I LOVE it so far for what I have been using it for. My only gripe is that gaming performance takes a HUGE DIP when I game when the machine is connected to the charger. Games work PERFECT when plugged in but as soon as I unplug, games STRUGGLE and makes it seem as if thought I am playing on a whole different machine.

I have tried using these steps here
https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3130/~/setting-power-management-mode-from-adaptive-to-maximum-performance
and still no difference.

Any other solutions?

No. The battery drain is too high on the battery alone. It's designed to protect the battery. Jack E/NJ

Thanks for the answer! Sounds logical. I'll just not play 3D intensive games while on battery.
