I have a Acer Nitro AN515-53 and I have tried to use my headphones with the laptop and they show up as speakers in sound settings (see photo) and I cant use the Mic on them or Dolby atmos I have narrowed it down to a problem with the realtek audio driver and told acer support and they wont listen to me at all. I am really frustrated and I need to talk to someone that actually knows more then the people at the call center.

  • Try this:
    a) go on control panel; hd realtek audio manager; plug the headset into the notebook! You will see that a highlighted black icon appears; click on it and select the headset and then uncheck the "remember the selection" option!

Make sure you have the correct headphone/headset plug setup for your laptop which often us the OMTP configuration. Jack E/NJ
