FPS drops in games

Hello! I have an A515-51G-51D3 and when I play some games (e.g. Fortnite, CS:GO, Path of Exile) sometimes it's starts to lag awful, like from 80-90 FPS drops to 13-14 for 5 seconds. What I discovered it's that when this is happening, the battery led turns orange and starts to blink. I've checked the battery settings, and it's set to High Performance; the operating system is fresh installed; the video card drivers are the latest. I don't know what should I do. Thanks!

This is normal if the laptop is not plugged in to automatically protect the battery. The battery alone is not designed to provide this kind of power requirement at high CPU/GPU loads. It must be plugged in at high loads. Jack E?NJ

I always have my laptop plugged-in. The orange led battery starts blinking when it's plugged-in. Also, I used RealTemp to check the temperature on the CPU (i5-8250U) and GPU (MX150), and the CPU it's like between 62-74, sometimes going to 80, and the GPU 63-67.

    (1) Does the battery charge LED ever turn solid blue when the machine is on but under low CPU load? (2) What power (watts) or current (amps) output is listed on the charger's label? Jack E/NJ

    1. Yes, the battery charge LED eventually turns back to blue after a while. But the frame drop it's happening at the same time as the battery led turns orange and starts blinking.
    2. The charger is the one who came with the laptop, not an aftermarket one, and has 19V with 3.42A.

Blinking orange either means the battery's bad & won't keep charging, or the charger itself can't keep up with the load of charging the battery & high cpu/gpu load at the same time and trips off. My first guess would be the battery especially if it doesn't seem to hold a charge for very long if the laptop sets around off for awhile. Means it has internal shorts that are putting an extra load on the charger. Is the battery original? Jack E/NJ

I've checked in the Acer Care Center, and it says that the battery health it's good. I thought it might be a software issue, like it's a setting in WIndows or BIOS.
