What kind of M.2 is compatible with my Helios 300 PH315-51, NVME or PCIe?

I would like to add an SSD on my laptop but don't know if I'd get a PCIe or an NVME m.2? Can anyone confirm please? Much appreciated.

    Hi Lester_Jeff,

You have only one HDD bay and a M.2 slot, so you can install a M.2 SATA SSD or a M.2 NVMe SSD in the slot, you can install a M.2 SSD up to 512GB, transfer your OS to it and use the 1TB original HDD for additional storage, you have to remove the back cover to access the M.2 slot, so make sure the removal of back cover doesn't void the warranty, please contact your local Acer Service centre for the inquiry.

    Examples of M.2 SSDs:

  • "NVM Express (NVMe) or Non-Volatile Memory Host Controller Interface Specification (NVMHCIS) is an open logical device interface specification for accessing non-volatile storage media attached via a PCI Express(PCIe) bus."

Yes u can i have a 2tb normal m.2 so nvme wouldn't be a problem and again i say upgrading to sshd its a waste of money better buying a 7200rpm hdd instead of having a sshd behaving like a normal 5400rpm hdd as they put it the concept of gaming sshd its just fake just to make more money by the hdd manufacturers in the end its what they want to make more money by fooling ppl
