Acer Spin 11 blinking led

When I close my lid, the battery led blinks amber every 3 seconds.  Gets annoying at night when it's on my nightstand.
Is this normal?  I've read this could mean low battery (which it's not), or simply mean it's in sleep mode.
If it's normal, then I'll just tape it off.

It seems your device is not turned off before closing the lid. I believe the computer was in sleep mode and due to which you see the indication light. You don't have to necessarily tape it off. You can simply turn off the device and close the lid.

Even after turning off if you see the light please unplug the charger.

To shut down every time, and wait for it to boot up and enter password every time isn't nice. (I wished they've put in pattern to sign in like android)
Like my android tablets, it should just sleep all the time.  But the point of this post is just to find out if the led's broken or not.
Since this is by design, I'll tape off the LED so it's dimmer.
    Thanks.

    It's normal.
Does it on my Spin 15 too.  Just a sleep mode indicator.

If you change to 'close lid' to hibernate instead of sleep it won't blink. You'll just have a bit slower startup when you open it back up.

We purchased a set of 45 Spin 11s in 2017.  One by one they have all died.   Acer replaced any that died within the first 6 months.  After that we were forced to send them in to our warranty company.  However, if any other issues arrived with any individual laptop that put us over the coverage limit and the warranty company is buying them out for a third of what we paid for them.  I've contacted ACER but they will not help any longer.  I would NEVER buy an Acer product again nor recommend it to anyone.
How about starting your own thread about your own issue, than hijacking everybody's thread to "post" (b*t*c*) about your complaint.
Talk about what the technical issue is would be helpful.
