Hi everyone,

I have an ACER Aspire A515-51 that I bought 2 months ago. FOr no reason the trackpad does not work anymore. I have a USB wireless mouse that I use but when I turn it off, the mouse symbol disappears from the screen and I'm not able to use my trackpad.

Thank you for your help.

Bryan.

Try power drain and BIOS default
power drain: Shut down the unit and unplug the charger. flip your laptop, and the back of your laptopyou can find a pin hole. Pu a paperclip in the pinhole and press and hold the paper clip for 40 seconds. After you done with power drain do BIOS DEFAULT.

BIOS Default: As soon as you press the power button keep pressing the F2 key, so that it will take you to BIOS utility page. Now press F9 and press enter than press f10 and press enter. your unit will restart.

After doing this if the touchpad dont work try to update the driver

    Hi,
You could try switching to Advanced mode in BIOS, if it's in Basic mode.
Go to BIOS settings, move to Main tab, click Touchpad and check whether it's in Basic mode, if it is, switch to Advanced mode.
