Hello,
I have recently purchased the Acer Swift 3 with the i7 processor model (SF314-52G-81PL). I personally do not like norton security so when I uninstalled it, upon restarting my laptop, the fingerprint option to log in has disappeared (going into the control panel, it says that windows hello is disabled)

Afterwards I proceeded to reset the computer to factory settings, I did get the fingerprint reader back but the norton security is still there.

I'm wondering if there is a way to remove norton security from my laptop without breaking the fingerprint reader.

Thank you.

    There is 2 ways

    1. From the start menu, click the Control Panel.
    2. Select Programs.
    3. Click on Program and Features.
    4. In the list of currently installed programs, select the Norton Security product, and then click Uninstall or Remove.
    5. If the User Account Control window appears, click Yes.
User Account Control screen with yes button on left

    6. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your uninstall preference.
Norton uninstaller will run and complete.
    7. Restart your computer.

    or try This

    1. Download the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.

Save the file to the Windows desktop. On some browsers, the file is automatically saved to its default location.

    2. To open the Downloads window in your browser, press the Ctrl + J key.

    3. Double-click the NRnR icon.

    4. Read the license agreement, and click Agree.

    5. Click Remove & Reinstall.

You may see the Remove button if your Norton product is from your service provider.

    6. Click Continue or Remove.

    7. Click Restart Now.

So these options should not be affect your fingerprint ability. So Try and get back if issue not resolved :)

Hello thank you for the response.

The first method worked!! I didn't know why I didn't use that method in the first place. Previously, I used the second method installing the Norton remove tool and it did break my fingerprint driver.

    Thank you! Appreciate it.
