Hey.

I bought an acer aspire v3-574g with 4gb of RAM in it last year. I wanted to upgrade it

bought the same freq. ram from Kingston, which is DDR3  too, and have tried to make it work, but it just won't. I tried to boot pc with the new RAM only and it just blackscreened from boot, wouldn't do anything but show black screen.

i'm kind of giving up since I bought it last week, tried everything and it doesn't work :/

below are pics of what CPUZ is showing.

The ram modules have different voltages, which could be where the problem is coming from. You can only try swapping the places of the modules and hope that helps.

Things that you have to consider when you pair 2 RAMs.
-frequency(not required, if one RAM has higher frequency it will be capped to the lower frequency RAM)
    -Cas Latency
    -voltage
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
