Hi

I cannot find any wifi networks with my chromebook.  Opened the chassis and reseated the wifi card (intel 7265ngw) and antennas and 'Powerwashed' the OS... still nothing.  I am not sure if the card is bad or something with the bus.  It's cheaper to buy an external (usb) wifi dongle than a new card and since I don't know if a new onboard card would repair the issue, I would like to pursue the external route.  Does anyone know any wifi dongles that will work with the factory OS? or perhaps a USB-Ethernet adapter?  ...now that it has been powerwashed I am stuck on the startup screen waiting to connect to a network so I presume the solution would have to be fully plug-n-play... no configuration needed.

Thanks
-Scott

    Hi,

If you are using a wifi router to connect to chrome book, than you can still reset you wifi router and check.

    Hi Jack

I have several computers and have taken the chromebook to various locations with different networks.  It is not an issue with the network/router ... appears to be hardware since a powerwash did not fix the problem

    Thanks

    Hi Biscotti,
Please check if you are able to see other available networks. If not,  it may be a hardware issue. Please contact acer tech support for checking your warranty options.
