Ghost passwords

I purchased that TC-280, when my Dell was dying. I think the thought of that Acer replacing my Dell got the Dell new life because it started working again. Well the Dell didn't last much longer and I broke out the Acer I bought and started removing files. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I went into settings, to see if I could get two monitors to work (VGA or DVI). I could not get both monitors to work. Within the last few days, when I start my PC, I noticed I have to enter my Microsoft account password, to get logged in. From reading a recent post, I thought I would go into settings again, to see what my BIOS settings were. Now I find I also have to enter a password, to get into settings. I've tried all of the Acer passwords I have written down, but no luck.

Question: Did Acer or Microsoft create and install passwords during one of the upgrades? I don't remember setting up either of these passwords! Now after reading a few other posts, to find a way of removing those passwords, I find I have to go to or send the PC, to an Acer repair center and pay them to remove the password. Could this just be another money maker for Acer?

You can hit a photo! Because I never saw wires under the cmos jumper!

Try this:

a) Remove the rtc battery

b) Move this jumper and do the following:

I did as suggested but when I was removing the 1-2 jumper to 2-3, a black and a white wire popped off what looks like a chip. The two wires were not soldered, it looked like they just snapped in. I'm having trouble snapping them back in. Can you tell what those wires are for?

I didn't mean to mislead you. When I tried to pull the jumper off post 1 & 2, those black and white wires just popped off that item (chip?). The wires are not soldered on, they are hard to get snapped back on. Just to get to that Jumper, I guess I hit the wires and they popped off. Anyhow I have removed that settings password. Thank you again.
