Hey!

My Nitro is a special edition of the nitro series. Its a Nitro 5 SE with a model number Nitro AN515-53. I have a Usb-c to display port cable and im trying to connect the laptop to the monitor with that. I get an error message "Monitors signal may be limited" and this microsoft page pops in to my browser when i click the error message: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/4012609/windows-10-fix-usb-c-problems#-

Now im wondering if the Nitro 5 usb-c port actually supported connecting monitors at all since it also comes with a HDMI port but that means im not able to utilize the 144hz that the monitor offers or am i just having some difficulties to set up settings. Also installed drivers manually for the monitor (aoc g2460pf). Have been searching for a day now without really getting anywhere with this.

The max refresh rate for the gpu is 60Hz at all supported resolutions. The USB 3.1 type-C port on this model seems to be the same speed as its USB 3.0 type-A port. Jack E/NJ

Sorry the C port apparently does not support video output on your model. It has similar capabilities to an ordinary A3 port. The only difference is the physical form factor. Jack E/NJ

People have upgraded the screen and definitely got over 60hz. Refresh rate is dependent on the monitor.
