I need to use the USB c 3.1 gen 1 from my Aspire 7 A717-72G-76V1 with USB C to HDMI  adapter but I don´t know if I need to do something more than just plug and play?

I've tried to search the internet but I can not find anything to tell me if I have to make any adjustments and until now I can not send the video signal through that port to my projector. When connecting the adapter the laptop gives a message that takes me to this page and I do not solve anything.

Can anybody tell me if the USB port C 3.1 gen 1 of my ACER Aspire 7 can support sending video with a USB C to HDMI adapter? and if that is possible, what should I do besides simply connect the devices?

Probably not.  3.1C Gen1 is really an ordinary USB 3.0 speed port but with a type C form factor. Jack E/NJ

As long as you're not expecting fancy multi-independent displays, 2 or 3 port HDMI hubs are less than $10. Jack E/NJ

Does this USB=C port support DP alternate mode? I want to use a display that is controlled by the nvida graphics card.

Sorry it does not support alternate mode. If the internal display is running on the discrete card then the HDMI port should mirror it. Jack E/NJ
