Hi everyone,

I want to ask about the battery of the swift 3. I recently purchased this device and only got through 3 discharge cycles. However when I checked by battery wear/tear level, it already showed a 25% wear (see attached photo). Acer care software said my battery status is good. I was wondering is this default for every new swift 3 laptops? or is my laptop is faulted like this, and could warranty help solve this issue?

Also regarding the SSD, I was told that the laptop has a second m.2 SSD slot for upgrade. I am planning to purchase the Samsung evo970 which is a m.2 nvme ssd with PCIe 3.0x4. Is the ssd compatible with the device? As i checked the default SSD in the laptop is a intel p600 SSD which also has the same configs (m.2 nvme ssd with PCIe 3.0x4).

    Hi Terey

There is nothing to worry about battery in your laptop. The wear & tear which is shown is just number in % related to total discharge cycles that battery is meant for. Moreover, mine too said the same at beginning and it did not create any problem. It is running very smooth till now. Hence, do not worry about it.

Yes. You can use Samsung evo970 M.2 Nvme SSD in the laptop.

    Hi,
You could try calibrating the battery manually, please follow the instructions in this link:https://www.howtogeek.com/172271/how-to-calibrate-your-laptops-battery-for-accurate-battery-life-estimates/
As for the second M.2 SSD, it will tale M.2 SATA SSD, so it's better to get a Samsung 860 or a 870 for the second slot.
