Hello,
I have an acer chromebook aspire r11 running Windows 10. I tried to install Fortnite for my kids on it, and the windows installer that I did not have enough disk space on my (C:) drive.
I added an external hard drive (D:) drive, and I successfully installed Fortnite on the external drive.
However, when I run the Fortnite launcher to launch the game, the Fortnite web site is still trying to download the game and reinstall again (instead of allowing it to run).

Has anyone seeing something like this before?
Any suggestions on what might be the issue.

Regards,
Abood

A Chromebook isn't the same as a laptop so it's not able to run fortnite. The game is meant to be played on windows based computer and requires some program download whilst A Chromebook is different. Instead of Windows 10 or macOS, Chromebooks run Google's Chrome OS. Also a Chromebook is designed to play games which are stored in the cloud.

Are you sure you have a Chromebook and not a Cloudbook? A Chromebook runs ChromeOS and will not run Windows games, a Cloudbook does run Windows.
