E5 with black screen problem. Re-installing Windows 10 does not help!

Bought my Aspire E5 brand new on July 1, 2018 in the US and I am now traveling overseas in Hong Kong.  The black screen problem occured right after a Windows 10 update.  Talked to Acer tech support twice, they suggested to send the unit to Texas for repair since it was bought in the US.  I will be here in Hong Kong for months and would like to get the repair done in Hong Kong.  How can I get repair authorization from Acer to get the repair done in Hong Kong?

    Did you re-install Win10 from the hidden ACER-recovery partition by using the ALT+F10 recovery procedure? If not, press and hold the power button till the machine's completely shut off. Then turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear as in the video below. Jack E/NJ
