Difference in Aspire 5's "A515-51G-5504" & "A515-51G-53V6" (also, are either keyboards backlit?)

We'll call them the 5504 and the 53v6 moving forward.

According to the product pages, they are identical. Literally the same pages minus the stock numbers. 
The 5v36 is no longer offered for sale by Acer so I believe the 5504 is a newer rev perhaps. 


The reason I ask is that I'm seeing a roughly $100 difference while shopping around and Im curious to what's actually different between the 2.

Also, are either keyboards backlit?

The only little difference is the LCD panels. Both models are not shipped with backlit keyboards.

laurent_14, what IS the "little difference" in the LCD panels?  The product page for the 53V6 does not say whether it's TN or IPS.

"ComfyView" means matte screen (which is good!), but IPS would be even better!

1. Here is the datasheet of 5540: Link
2. Both models are shipped with an TN LCD panel and none glare so matte. The little difference is only the panel models but the features are similar.
