Which version of the MX150 graphics card is on the new 2018 version of the Swift 3 laptops?

Hello, as you may know the MX150 graphics come in 2 versions that are unfortunately named the same, but one is a lower power variant which in turn offers lower performance.

The lower power version has 1D12 as part of its device ID, where as the regular high power version has 1D10.

From what i know last years swift 3 with the thicker bezels had the full power mx150.

I was wondering if that is true for the 2018 Swift 3 with thin bezels as its a considerably smaller device, i have heard rumors that it runs with the new low power variant, can anyone confirm if this is the case?

The devices im asking about in particular are the SF315-52G and SF314-54G or any other thin bezel 2018 swift 3s with the MX150.

I have an SF315-52G-50CD and it has the 1D10 version, but I’ve read a review on the Italian Amazon about a 52G with the slower MX150, so you can’t be sure sadly.

The only way to know exactly which GeForce MX150 GPU the laptop ships with is to access GPU-z application where the Device IDs for both variants are different. But the proper way is to label them as either 10W or 25W GeForce MX150 on either the packages or the support site itself. Buying the incorrect model would basically get you 20-25% performance deficit in a chip which is already not that great in terms of raw GPU performance.

These two variants are differentiated by their device ID of ‘10DE 1D10’ and ‘10DE 1D12’, the former of which is the standard (full-speed) GPU, and the latter runs with lesser clock speeds and a lower power draw.
