How to launch ubuntu from emmc on a aspire ES1-432-C50U

Hello,

can somebody explain to me how te boot ubuntu from the internal emmc. I can launch it from a usb drive and install is. i alreadyu disabled secure boot and enabled the F12 button. I don't have the option to select a trusted efi file in the bios.

After installing ubuntu I see the acer logo and the tlog with "no bootable media".
I already tried to set different setting in /boot/efi/ including adding the linux folder an did copy the ubuntu folder in it as described in this forum for the es1-132

What i do notice is everytime I check the gpt of /dev/mmcblk0p1 it is damaged. I noticed this on other emmc devices also after formatting it to fat32. I don't know if this has something to do with it.

Have you downloaded an iso x64 from ubuntu? The uefi mode only accepts x64 and emmc or hd must be converted to gpt! Emmc must be formatted in ntfs!

It's x64 and hdd is in gpt. The efi partition is formated in fat32, but I will try in ntfs. Maybe it helps.

Let me explain one thing:

1) the pendrive must be converted to gpt and formatted in fat32;

2) emmc should be converted to gpt and formatted in ntfs!

Just to let You know, didn't work. Until now I didn't find a solution to boot linux on this PC.
They should release a new bios with uefi linux support.

As scarboro noted in his thread: "Acer omitted the UEFI option "Trusted EFI file for executing" from their E and F series computers."
1) Disable Secure Boot.
2) Follow the steps in this rEFInd tutorial.
