Acer Aspire E5-576G auto brightness

Hello,

I have a problem where my laptops screen keeps adjusting my brightness level depending on how dark or bright stuff im watching. Its so annoying i cant even stand it. I cant play any games or watch movies, couse its just so annoying when sometimes watching a dark movie scene make my laptop drop my brightness so low i can barely see anything.
It does not depend on using my laptop on battery or plugged in.
I arleady tryed adjusting my settings in intel graphics settings panel, and in my power plan. Nothing help.

Can someone tell me what to do? Couse since i bought my laptop few months ago this thing makes my acer laptop experience just awful.

You should open the Acer quick access program and turn off adaptive brightness:

Please follow the below steps to disable auto brightness feature.

Method 1: using the systems setting

Open the Windows start menu and click on ‘Settings’ (a cog icon)
In the settings window, click on ‘System’
The ‘Display’ menu should be selected on the left, if it is not – click on ‘Display’
Turn the ‘Change brightness automatically when lighting changes’ to ‘Off’
Click ‘Apply’ to save the changes.

Help – I don’t have the ‘Change brightness automatically when lighting changes‘ option

If you don’t have the ‘Change brightness automatically when lighting changes’ option it’s likely your computer does not have a light sensor and therefore does not have the automatic brightness feature.

If you’re sure your computer does have a light sensor – try checking the manufactures website for the correct driver and/or software package. It is possible that Windows 10 support is not provided.

In this case you will need to use the manual brightness adjustments. On laptops, these are usually done using buttons on or new the keyboard – sometimes in combination with a Fn (function) key. For desktop computers, the monitor will have buttons and a menu on the front or the side of the monitor.

Method two: change the power plan advanced options

Open the Windows start menu and click on ‘Settings’
In the settings window, click on ‘System’
Click on ‘Power & sleep’ in the left hand menu, then click on the ‘Additional power settings’ link
For the power plan you currently have enabled (balanced by default – the enabled plan will be bold), click on ‘Change plan settings’.
Click on ‘Change advanced power settings’
Expand ‘Display’ -> ‘Enable adaptive brightness’ and make sure the setting is set to ‘Off’
Click ‘OK’ to save the changes.

My new laptop had a similar situation, it's so annoying. Even though I called for support, it couldn't be solved. Then, I try to figure it out, it took me nearly a month to find the reason. Thanks God, it's working. Although it's late, but in case you need I leave it here. Good luck!

Thank goodness I was cursing windows 10 that they didn't provide a brightness control function. The fault was on the Acer side. Thanks, I'll try to implement the process you have shown.

But my laptop Aspire es15 don't have this option.
