Hello!

I have an Acer Aspire S5-371-58A1 with Intel HD 520 graphic card.

Is it possible somehow to connect it to an external 4K monitor with 60Hz? LG 27UD69P-W to be precise.

I've searched all day trying to find an answer. One page I found was this https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/se/sv/sedhs1/vostro-14-3468-laptop/dell_vostro14_3468/intel-hd-graphics-520?guid=guid-d9f093d7-da4d-4199-8670-f09d3101f9c8&lang=en-us that would suggest it does work? Not sure what they mean with a HDMI 2.0 port can be added with a display port adapter?

Also read somewhere using a USB-C to HDMI adapter could get me 4K @ 60Hz.

Can anyone confirm if this works or not?

Many thanks!

/Andreas

Found another place suggesting it works as long as your computer supports USB-C 3.1 with an HDMI adapter and a HDMI 2.0 compatible cable.

I will use the computer to edit full HD videos, watch mostly full HD videos on YouTube and movies. No gaming

No, you can't assume the C3.1 adapter will definitely support 60Hz. The only thing you can assume is that the LG monitor should work at 30Hz max via the HDMI port. Jack E/NJ
