Nitro 5 Spin, Battery, Quick Question

Hi there,

i hope you can help me fast. I recieved the Nitro Spin 5 today, and i was on my starting routine, checked Battery on Windows Energy Report:

What the...? only 40000 mah from 50000 mah fully loaded? Windows showed me 100% recharged. So, i ask support via chat, hell... this is...no words...
So here is the question, have i return this thing? Is this normal? Or is my Battery broken out of the Box with only 80% left.

What is the exact model of your spin 5? Example: v3-571-xxxx

Checked if the bios has the function of locking the battery when the load reaches 80%?

Hi, thanks for your answer its the NP515-51. Bios? Is there an Option for this? And what make me wondering too, its nearly exactly 80%? Maybe normal?But on the other side, i cant find anything on the whole net about this problem with this Model, or at least Spin 5 model (not Nitro)

Some bios have a function called "battery charger", which prevents it from being recharged when it reaches 80%, so that the battery life is preserved! To check, press f2 when restarting the notebook and see if there is such an option! Do not change anything in the bios and then click Exit without saving!

Inside windows, go to the cmd as administrator and enter this command to have more detailed information on the battery powercfg /batteryreport /output "C:\battery_report.html"

Well this Battery Report was the first i did, thats how i saw the 40000 from 50000 at 100% fully charged. And no more informations there...

But how come no one has this or can answer if this is normal? Not Even Support...

Even when the battery light turns blue, it's still not 100% charged! Maybe you removed the charger as soon as the battery light turned blue and so it showed a load below normal! When the battery light turns blue, you should wait at least twenty minutes for it to actually be 100% charged!

It was charging since i starting it up, all the time. Then after first Windows Updates, Checking here and there, i checked Energy Report, saw the Problem. So i would say, it was charging at least 4 Hours, Windows, and the Report telling my 100% charged at 40752 from 50730.

BatteryInfoView, same... BatteryHealth at 80%, so Battery broken? With exact 20% off?

Did you calibrate the battery? In which consists of charging the battery up to 100% with the notebook off and then let the notebook turn itself off when it reaches 5% for three times!

Thats what i do right now, while i write here... will take a while, but dont think i will bring back my 20%. Normally its around 3-5% from what i know from other devices.
