My unit came with (1) DDR 4 RAM card and has two slots. Why does my unit come with a DDR 4 set up ?

I`m going to upgrade with another 4GB Ram card for the second slot, however I`m up in the air on what DDR Ram Card to go with seeing it`s running a DDR $ and not the DDR 3 as everyone other unit is showing to have set up and running from the factor?

QUESTION:

My unit came with (1) DDR 4 RAM card and has two slots. Why does my unit come with a DDR 4 set up instead of the DDR 3? It states on the spec`s Aspire One ES 15 (ES1-572-34WS), and that it  has the $GB DDR 4 Memory card with the Intel Core i3-6006U, and what DDR 4 should I purchase for the up grade in the second slot?

This notebook model, depending on the version, or comes with the intel skylake-u chipset or the intel kabylake-u!

The models with the skylake chipset, come with the type of dd3L memory of 1.35v!

The models with the kabylake chipset come with the 1.2v ddr4 memory type!

Check with cpu-z what is your chipset and you will see that it will be kabylake!

You have the newer model with DDR4 module mainboard. Go to crucial dot com and download their scanner to verify this and the type of DDR4 that you need. Jack E/NJ
