Acer Switch Alpha 12 -- Keyboard/trackpad keeps disconnecting

Ever since I got my Switch Alpha 12 a few months ago, all day lonit intermittently for no reason switches into tablet mode and then back into laptop mode.  Usually happens when I'm scrolling using two fingers on the track pad, but also sometimes while I'm typing. Whenever this happens tap click and two finger trackpad scrolling both stop working until I physically separate the keyboard and reconnect it.  Occasionally while I'm typing a letter will get stuck (not physically) and I'll get like 20 "eeeeeeeeeeeeeee"s across the screen.

The keyboard itself is connected via the magnet and nothing is disturbing it.

How do I get rid of these keyboard connection problems?
