hello (acer nitro 5)

recently i bought acer nitro 5 an515-41-f583 and theres an issue  its really slow for normal work like when im using google chrome youtube takes alot of time changing between videos and other apps in windows store....  i thought at first the problem was from the hard drive so i changed it.....but still the same i did download the last updates for windows ....same problem.... i installed last drivers but still got the same problem its too slow what should do i do pls help

First make sure the disk is 100% in the task manager! To do this press ctrl + shift + esc and see if the disk is at 100%!

Please try increasing the virtual memory by following the steps as mentioned in the link: https://www.geeksinphoenix.com/blog/post/2016/05/10/how-to-manage-windows-10-virtual-memory.aspx

This is improve the unit performance.

No its not full and its an ssd drive

Verify that the trim of ssd is active by going to cmd as administrator and typing the following command: fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify

If it appears = 0, it is because the trim is activated; if it appears = 1, you need to enable trim using the following command: fsutil behavior set DisableDeleteNotify 0

Trim optimizes ssd and extends ssd life!

Hi @Hussien995

Try clean boot with the below mentioned steps and see if it works,

> Press and hold Windows + R > Type msconfig
> Click on services tab > to the bottom left side check the box which says hide all microsoft services 
> Make sure to uncheck any antivirus app and click on disable all.

Also, click on startup tab and disable any unwanted app. and click on apply. It will ask you to restart the device. 

Restart the device and check if the issue persist

Its 0 .....the problem was before in the old hdd and now in the sdd drive ....the laptop is slow just in apps such google Firefox which is using the R7 graphic .....other program which using Rx-550 is working perfectly

Although it is not very recommendable to do this in a ssd, I recommend that you defrag the ssd! Maybe that's the reason for slowness!
