Aspire 8951G Windows 10 Bluetooth drivers

Hi all,
I cannot get a new MS Surface mouse to pair with my 8951G running Windows 10. I set both the 8951G and the mouse into pairing mode but the mouse never appears as a device for pairing. Several other Bluetooth devices are already configured and are working.
After a lot of looking around, I noticed the driver is generic, from Microsoft. There does not appear to be an Acer driver for Windows 10.
Does anyone have an alternative driver?
Does anyone know the manufacturer of the Bluetooth on 8951G? Is it Qualcomm Atheros? Maybe I can find an alternative W10 driver that fixes my issue.
Any and all suggestions welcomed. This laptop is too good to allow drifting into obsolescence!
