Hello. Recently, my ACER monitor started showing many white stripes on   of the image. I checked the motherboard, plumes, wires and other details: the problem is in the monitor. I'm not an expert, but I assume that the matrix refused. In reality, on the display are twitching strips of white color, distorting the picture. Work with such a monitor was not comfortable. You see that each interface element has its edges corrupted - this is the defect. I'm not sure if it's possible to fix it somehow? The monitor is 12 years old, but I would not want to buy a new one!

Unfortunately you are likely going to find that a replacement is the best way to go. What you seem to be seeing is not white lines, but the pixels on each affected line shifted from other lines. It's very likely a problem with the monitor's internal parts and would cost more to get repaired than it would cost to replace.
