Hi, I recently bought an ADATA SX8200 250 GB SSD and currently trying to set it up so I can boot from there, but even after clonning my current HDD to it and changing the boot order on BIOS it doens't boot from the SSD. If I remove the HDD it won't boot at all.

Any help would be appreciated greatly. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I feel that Clonning the HDD to SSD will not work. I requested you to 1st follow the below support article instructions and create USB Recovery Media.

    https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/38147

After creating the recovery media, Have the SSD installed in computer and load the OS using the USB Recovery driver created. Once OS is loaded successfully to the SSD, add the HDD as secondary drive.

Cloning may have gotten all drive contents but not the boot sector. This could be the issue why it is not booting up from SSD. Try using a recover media to boot up, and try going through the repair path to repair the boot process.
Try this keeping only the SSD in the place. There are few software that allow for this - like windows itself, macrium, or any good recovery software.

Hey, after creating the USB Recovery Media and loading it on the SSD I can now boot from there.

    Thanks a lot!
