ACER A315-31 RAM upgrade

I am confused at Acer this notebook , when i  dumped computer's DMI (some say SMBIOS ) table contents in a human-readable format i can see it says maximum RAM up-gradable to 16GB . But service center says it can upgraded to 4 GB as my present physical memory is 2GB . I am sure that this table contents are reliable as it from SMBIOS data . do acer allow 16 GB maximum ram upgrade

    Hi,
    These models come with on-board memory and it means the memory modules are soldered to the motherboard, so there's no slots for upgrade.

    This is up-gradable , i have done it with acer service center . they have confirmed that it has one empty slot and one on board fixed memory module of 2GB  , they have shown me to read such output to as in the output it shows two available in Physical Memory array as Two means it has two devices available for Physical memory installation
