Nitro 5S AN515-53 Ram compatibility

Hey! I got a Nitro 5 with following specs:

Intel i5 8th gen 8300H
8gb ddr4 ram 2400mhz
w10
GTX 1050ti 4gb

I want to add more memory and im having hard time figuring out which brand would be the best. Also one question is that the 8gb i have currently is the default ram, do i need to buy 2x8gb chips or can i just buy 1 8gb and add it with the default ram im currently having without issues aslong as the new ram i get fits.
