How do I fix the battery on my switch 5

After carrying my Switch 5 in my backpack inside it’s protective cover, my Switch 5 now will not turn on at all nor register that it is charging. How do I fix my problem? All the answers I found on the community are about different models and not about the switch 5. I only bought my switch 3 months ago and I think this is happening because I put it on sleep mode for a long time and didn’t turn it off properly.

Also, I have no idea where to find the S/N number to check the warranty.

Help would be be greatly appreciated!

Can you try the below steps and check if it works.

    > Plug in the charger, Press and Hold the power button and Volume down together for 10-15 sec. Doing this should power on the computer and it takes you to BIOS screen. If it does then press exit and hit enter to login your device.

If holding power and volume down does not work you can also try holding power and volume up button.

    Hi,

Thanks for your help but unfortunately after trying both of these steps nothing has changed. I don’t think the battery is working as it seems to be deadflat and showing no signs of coming to life (no sound or lights).

    Any other suggestions?

Gently push a paper clip into the battery re-set pinhole on the back of the machine for 5-10 seconds. Then allow the battery to rest for a few hours before plugging the charger back in. If still no success, the try to find the machine's serial number id (SNID) as below.

If the machine is unlabled or can't be started to get the  SNID from the Windows command line, it should be on the original packaging UPC label. The vendor should also have a record of the SNID or should be able to get it for you. Once you have the SNID, go here https://www.acer.com/ac/de/DE/content/support  to arrange for warranty service.
