SATA driver after Windows update Aspire E1-572G

Hi,

After windows updates in july 2018 my ACER Aspire E1-572G is extremely slow. Absolutely not workable. Now I read somewhere that the SATA driver might be causing this, which sounds reasonable because it is already slow at startup, when the ACER logo is shown (for very long time).
Current driver is c:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\storahci.sys, which should be replaced with an appropriate manufactor driver.
Can anyone tell me which driver I need and where to find it?

Regards, Sliepke

  • It uses intel chipset! Go to www.intel.com and click download and drivers! Then select to find driver and software automatically and see if it finds the driver!
If you can not find the driver use the driverbooster program!
If installing does not solve the problem, do a disk cleanup and defrag it! Make sure the disk is at 100% in the task manager! If it still does not resolve, go to msconfig, services, hide microsoft services and disable everything, then go to program startup and disable all!
