Good morning,

I have an older device, TM8172T-3264.  It's a bit long in the tooth, but works fine.  I'd like to bump up the ram (currently 3gb) and drop in a 250 (or 500gb) ssd.  A few of the ram sites (crucial being one of them) seem to say that the max ram is 4gb.  But this is an i5 U430.  So on a processor (and O.S. - Win7 Pro) level it should support 8gb.  Unless the bios has been hamstrung by Acer.

Would anyone have any experience dropping 2 X 4gb (DDR3-1066MHz) modules into the unit ?
And any experience with ssd's / max size ?

Documentation is pretty scarce these days, so any help would be appreciated.
