Hello guys,
Just bought an Acer Aspire 5 laptop and I have a severe bleed on my IPS display. I am very happy with the performance of this laptop but it's really a nightmare to watch a movie or play a game at night.
The display has 2 big 'white clouds' below the webcam and the "bleed" is present on every corner of the display. Attached a photo that was taken at night with the lights on inside.
After I saw the display, I've found out that this is a commun issue on IPS display. This is why I started my journey to 4-5 live stores that had this kind of laptop exposed. Just to check if only my laptop has this issue. The surpise was that I did not find any laptop that has this problem.
What should I do now? I just had some e-mail exchanges with the ACER representives from my country and turned their back on me with the following excuse "technological limitation".
Thanks guys.
Thank you!

As per the picture it looks to be something wrong with the display panel. As per my experience these things happen only when there is loose connection from panel to the plastic or if the unit is damaged.

You can try the below steps to see if this helps you to fix a common issues like this.

    1. Turn off the device and unplug all the cables
    2. Make sure to unplug Power cable too, press and hold the power button for 30-40sec
    3. Plug in only the power cable and turn the device ON and check if there is any change.

Generally most of the acer monitors comes with 3years warranty. if it does show the same bleeding thing you can contact Acer technical support for warranty help.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately it didn't work for me.
    Tried your method twice.
As I sad in my post... ACER representives from my country turned their back on me with the following excuse "technological limitation".
How should I contact Acer technical support? They will forward my request to their service representatives from my country and I will start all over again... :(

    Thank!
